A Minute with Dr. John Howe

Chair, AVMF Board of Directors

(April 1, 2021) It has been my pleasure to serve as chair of the AVMF Board of Directors during such a challenging and eventful time. I know many have been impacted by natural disasters last year with wildfires and hurricanes and recently the unprecedented cold weather that hit several portions of the United States. And, then there’s the COVID-19 pandemic which seems to bring about new questions and concerns each day.

We know this has caused anxiety and financial hardship for many. There has never been a more important time than now to learn about all the important Foundation programs and the positive impact they are having on animals and their owners across the country, as well as those in the veterinary profession who care for them.

From educational programs, scholarships, disaster relief and reimbursement grants, charitable veterinary care, and research grants, the AVMF is here to protect, promote, and advance a strong, unified veterinary profession that meets the needs of society. Thank you for all your help and I hope you will continue to support the Foundation with your contributions, and I invite you to tell others who share a love for animals about the important work being done by the AVMF.

With Gratitude,

Dr. John Howe, Chair, AVMF Board of Directors
