AVMF Scholarship Review Committee

Why reviewing scholarships is rewarding

Reviewing AVMF scholarship applications is one way for busy veterinarians to be involved and give back to the next generation of veterinarians. In this video, AVMF Board member Dr. Sandy Willis shares why she volunteers for the AVMF Scholarship Review Committee. Learn how you can apply today.

Call for veterinary scholarship reviewers

The AVMF has expanded our veterinary student scholarship program, and we are currently looking for additional volunteers to serve on the AVMF Scholarship Review Committee. Please see the eligibility criteria and reviewer responsibilities below. If you meet the criteria and are interested in mentoring students, we welcome you to apply. Thank you for your interest in volunteering to give back to the next generation of veterinarians.

Cynthia has been a long-time dedicated scholarship reviewer for over 22 years.  She enjoys reviewing the scholarship applications and being a part of this process!

I was inspired by the dedication of first responders and their canine team during 9.11. That’s what prompted me to become a part of the scholarship review committee over 22 years ago. To give back and help future veterinarian students. And to honor those I lost during that time.
