AVMF Donations Support the Treatment of Animal Victims of California Wildfires

For nearly a month this fall, the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine (SVM) helped rescue and save animals injured and/or displaced by the California wildfires that ravaged much of the Napa Valley area. Whether it was performing search and rescue missions in the fire zones, aiding at evacuation centers, or caring for hospitalized animals, the SVM played a major role in helping the animals of Northern California.

AVMF Participates in Recovery Empowerment Symposium

Following the devastation caused by recent hurricanes, the AVMF participated in the "Recovery Empowerment Symposium" on September 23.  Henry Schein, Inc. partnered with leading medical groups to host the symposium.  The goal was to help health care professionals in their recovery from natural disasters. 

AVMA Donates $100,000 to Hurricane Harvey Relief Efforts

(SCHAUMBURG, Illinois) August 31, 2017 —The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) has donated $100,000 toward Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. The funds will be allocated via grants administered by the association's charitable arm, the American Veterinary Medical Foundation (AVMF).
