The AVMF provides two grant programs to help veterinarians and the animals they care for during times of disaster. Grants up to $5,000 support victims of hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, earthquakes, wildfires or oil spills. Thank you to our generous donors for making this emergency support possible.

AVMF Donations Support Disaster Relief for Puerto Rico
In the wake of Hurricane Maria, airplanes filled with dogs, puppies, cats, kittens and even three pot-bellied pigs from shelters in Puerto Rico arrived around-the-clock at St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center in Madison, N.J. AVMF provided a $38,000 grant for the first round of medical supplies needed for the emergency intake and care of the 786 animals airlifted to safety. READ MORE
