Tornado relief

Service dog

On December 10, 2021, ten tornadoes left a trail of destruction that spanned over 260 miles, cutting through farmland and towns from Arkansas into Kentucky. Many people lost their lives and many have been forced to rebuild their entire lives. Because of the generous gifts from donors like you, the AVMF was able to provide a grant to the Kentucky Veterinary Medical Association Foundation. These funds will be distributed to local veterinary professionals who are providing veterinary medical treatment for abandoned and displaced pets and livestock.

"To the AVMF and all those who donated funds to help with disaster relief targeting southcentral and western Kentucky following deadly tornados on December 11, 2021, I would like to express my sincere appreciation. My practice was in the direct line of storms and many of our mature trees fell in our parking lot and on neighboring structures.

We were without basic utilities for 5 days, and phone and internet systems were not functional for 12 days. We had major financial interruptions during this time due to not being open as well as many of our clients were displaced from their own homes and focused on their personal recovery and stability. These funds will help ensure our property is safe for patients and clients. Thank you again."
