Merck Animal Health Student Innovation Award

Recognizing innovation that inspires

This award is designed to recognize graduating seniors at each veterinary school accredited through the American Veterinary Medical Association in the U.S. and Canada. Awards are given to students in good academic standing who have been recognized by their veterinary medical program faculty for innovation, entrepreneurship, and creative forward-thinking in the development of a project or product that inspires others within the veterinary profession. If you are a student who is interested in being nominated, please consult your program advisor.

  •  1st place – $10,000
  •  2nd place – $5,000
  •  3rd place – $3,000
Eligibility
  • Student in final academic year.
  • Must be in good academic standing.
  • Have demonstrated innovative and or entrepreneurial creativity leading to a project or product that impacts or inspires others within the veterinary profession.
  • Demonstrated innovation leadership skills.
Timeline
  • School faculty nominations accepted: September 1 – September 30, 2024
  • Nominations reviewed: October 7- October 25, 2024
  • Award notification: October 2024
  • Check disbursement: November 2024
